<p>Our casual pool provides cover for shifts across our 24/7 residential and respite services (adult, youth, maternal) located within the community.  The role will be working with people with intensive and complex needs, in particular Maori, Pacific Island, Asian and Pakeha cultures.</p>
<p>We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate person who is recovery orientated to join our team.  You will deliver intensive support in partnership with the service user to achieve their goals in terms of:</p>

<p>You will be a natural leader with high expectations and be someone who shares the same passion for ensuring projects are delivered accurately, on time and within budget. Ideally you will have worked in the Fire Safety industry but you may have previous experience coordinating and implementing projects from end to end within the retail / commercial interior fit-out or construction sector.</p>
<p>The same principles of project delivery apply so my client would be happy to support you with your transition.</p>
<p>You will have success stories to tell of previous projects you have been proud of achieving, despite various challenges you might have encountered on the way. You will thrive working within a fast-paced, changing environment that will see you juggling multiple priorities.</p>
<p>You will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure the efficient and smooth running of multiple projects.</li>
<li>Have a minimum 2-3 years NZ experience in either the Fire Protection or Commercial interior fit out sector.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate with clients, sub-trades and local authorities.</li>
<li>Problem solve any issues that should occur on site and ability to foresee (and escalate) any potential problems.</li>
<li>Manage on-site contractors and site meetings if and when required.</li>
<li>Previous experience running multiple projects.</li>
<li>Superb communication skills (both written and verbal).</li>
<li>Accurate documentation and report writing skills.</li>
<li>Full, clean driver&#8217;s licence.</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead and stick to a project schedule with sound project management skills.</li>
<li>Ability to display strong leadership qualities and sound decision making skills.</li>
<li>Self motivator and an excellent team player.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of MS Project.</li>
</ul>

<p>The role is based in the Auckland head office although you will be required to travel out of Auckland from time to time.</p>

<p>Lotofale aims to provide a cultural specific quality Mental Health service to adult Pacific consumers and their families.  Commitment to our clients ensures healing in a holistic manner taking into account family, cultural, spiritual, physical and mental dimensions. In this way we are able to achieve the best possible standards of cultural-clinical care.</p>
<p>You will be working specifically with Pacific service users who are inpatients at Te Whetu Tawera, ADHB’s Acute Inpatient Mental Health Unit situated at Auckland City Hospital.  This role will involve working collaboratively with service users and their families, co-ordinating and maintaining oversight of the acute inpatient episode of care, promoting recovery and timely discharge of inpatients from Te Whetu Tawera to the appropriate community service.</p>
<p>Sound working knowledge of Government agencies such as WINZ and HNZ and NGO sector services required.  An interest in the Pacific culture is viewed as a core requirement for this role and a fluency in a Pacific language would be advantageous.</p>
<p>You will already be a New Zealand Registered Social Worker or eligible for New Zealand Registration. A full and clean driver’s licence is required.</p>
<p>This role is permanent, full time working Monday to Friday (40hr/week).</p>

<p>Offering flexibility and the perfect opportunity to work as part of two interdisciplinary teams, this is a shared role between the Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre and Manawanui. Both services provide clinical and support services for adults and are located next door to each other in Pt Chevalier.</p>
<p>Auckland District Health Board Mental Health Services for M&#257;ori is a community based service with a passion for supporting tangata whai ite ora on their recovery pathway and this role is key in leading this recovery focused clinical service.</p>
<p>Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre is a sub regional service providing inpatient rehabilitation for 40 young people and adults. The inter disciplinary team is committed to facilitating a therapeutic recovery oriented environment in response to both the clinical and rehabilitation needs of clients.</p>
<p>In Manawanui you will provide psychiatric assessment and treatment while working collaboratively with the primary health sector. You will be responsible for your own caseload and providing medical input to the rest of the multi-disciplinary team.</p>
<p>At Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre you will provide a specialist psychiatric service for service users under the care of the team. This will include involvement in urgent and planned assessments, planning and delivering care and treatment to those service users in the context of their family / wh&#257;nau.</p>
<p>You will also be required to participate in the on-call Consultant Psychiatrist roster.</p>
<p>Ideally you will have experience working in inpatient rehabilitation within a strengths based model of practice. Experience in working successfully with tangata whai ite ora and whanau is important, ideally within a Tikanga M&#257;ori framework.</p>
<p>You will already have (or be eligible for) specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (www.mcnz.org.nz). Basic computer skills and a clean full driver&#8217;s licence are required.</p>

<p>Whakatipuranga Rima Rau is an exciting project under which Te Whare Punanga Korero Trust representing the eight iwi of Taranaki, the Taranaki District Health Board, Work and Income of the Department of the Ministry of Social Development, the TSB Community Trust and Te Puni Kokiri have come together &#8220;To create 500 employment opportunities for M&#257;ori within the Taranaki health and disability sector over the next 10 years&#8221;.</p>
<p>The project needs a highly motivated professional manager to coordinate the wide range of activity and stakeholder engagements envisaged by the project to promote, support, deliver and fund M&#257;ori into many and varied health career pathways.  As the Trust is in the process of establishing infrastructure to support the delivery of its programs the person we are looking for needs to be au fait with and have the ability to lead all aspects of infrastructural development as well.</p>
<p>If you have a passion for M&#257;ori development and satisfy the following criteria then you could be the person we&#8217;re looking for:</p>

<li>Must be knowledgeable of the M&#257;ori health and disability workforce in Taranaki and have middle to senior management experience to match;</li>
<li>Must be knowledgeable of the education sector and pathways for training and development into the health and disability sector</li>

<p>Raukura Hauora O Tainui, with its many services is committed to the development of Wh&#257;nau Ora and we are seeking an experienced Smoking Cessation Practitioner who will focus on providing cessation support services and will be based at the Tamaki Regional Office.</p>
<p>Role Summary</p>
<p>The overall objective of Maaori Smokefree Leadership and Cessation Services is to empower and to make smokefree living the norm for Maaori. This ensures reduced health inequalities and gap in life years associated with tobacco use. To achieve the desired outcomes of the sessation service,</p>
<p>Cessation Practitioner will mainly provide professional behavior change strategies along with subsidized nicotine replacement products or advice on other pharmacotherapy products that support people in becoming smoke free. These services will be delivered in accordance with the relevant contractual outcomes for the Ministry of Health and in accordance with the kaupapa of Raukura Hauora O Tainui.</p>
<p>Major duties</p>
<ul>
<li>Provide intensive support to clients both preceding and following the target quit day.</li>
<li>Hold clinics as directed by the service team leader / manager in the community. Visit clients at home if needed.</li>
<li>Establish and actively promote referral campaigns using different media.</li>
<li>Participate in late night services one day a week to facilitate requirements of clients.</li>
<li>To provide clients with an initial assessment, follow up sessions and 4 week and 3 month quit rates as per the National standard definition.</li>
<li>Apart form face to face sessions incorporate telephone sessions to provide maximum support to clients.</li>
<li>Ensure high quality service is maintained through out as per the service requirements in a structured and timely manner.</li>
<li>Facilitate monthly reporting requirements in regards to Cessation Service usage, outcomes and activities.</li>
</ul>
<p>Qualifications and Experience</p>
<ul>
<li>A tertiary qualification in Public Health or related field coupled with 2-3 years experience in a similar role will be advantageous.</li>
<li>This position is offered on a fixed term basis starting ASAP till 24th May 2012.</li>
<li>Full Driver&#8217;s Licence is essential.</li>
</ul>

<p>The Ministry of Education is the Government&#8217;s lead advisor on the education system for New Zealand. It shapes education from early childhood to adulthood and provides strategic leadership, support, resources and services across a dispersed and devolved sector to build a learner-centred education system.</p>
<p>The executive team of the ministry is accountable for:</p>
<ul>
<li>Making a unique and valued contribution to the direction of the education system in New Zealand in particular for M&#257;ori and Pasifika learners and learners with special needs</li>
<li>Maximising the contribution of education to the New Zealand economy</li>
<li>Influencing and having the ability to advance change outcomes for the education sector through leadership and relationship management with schools, parents, wh&#257;nau, iwi, employers, local government, other government agencies and organisations in the social sector</li>
<li>Demonstrating strong leadership, engagement, influence, drive and energy to the overall direction setting and management of the ministry and achievement of its results and outcomes to meet government expectations</li>
<li>Provision of robust policy advice and support to the appropriate Ministers.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong><span lang="EN-NZ">Chief Executive</span></strong><strong></strong></p>
<p><span lang="EN-NZ">We are searching for a skilled professional to provide strategic leadership for our organisation to ensure it delivers Crown funded contracts for health and social services. Key to this position will be the ability to actively partner with other organisations and agencies to improve outcomes for M&#257;ori and to engage in proactive advocacy to ensure the Crown fulfils Article III obligations.</span> <span lang="EN-NZ">This is an exceptional opportunity for an astute and proven executive to lead a dynamic community organisation.</span> <span lang="EN-NZ">Candidates are likely to possess the following attributes:</span></p>

<li><span style="text-indent: -0.25in;" lang="EN-NZ">At least 5 years’ experience at senior management level within the health and social services and / or not for profit sector</span></li>

It involves the leadership of community based social service practitioners and the development of new and creative methods of engaging with communities and supporting their outcomes.</span></p>

<p>ADHB&#8217;s Kaupapa M&#257;ori Mental Health Service provides a range of services for tangata whai ite ora M&#257;ori (adults) and their whanau who are living in the community of Tamaki Makaurau.</p>
<p>M&#257;ori Mental Health Services has two community based teams comprised predominantly of M&#257;ori staff who come from a variety of iwi. All have knowledge of tikanga M&#257;ori and share a passion for supporting M&#257;ori on their recovery pathway.</p>
<p>You will work predominantly with male service users so your ability to work effectively with this group will be key to facilitating successful delivery of tikanga services.  The role requires integrity, flexibility, knowledge of community resources and a genuine interest in the co-ordination and / or facilitation of group oriented activity.</p>
<p>You will have a relevant certificate or diploma qualification in Mental Health and some cultural qualifications with a strong commitment to teamwork, best practice and the empowerment of mental health consumers.  A full and clean driver&#8217;s license is required.</p>
<p>This is a permanent, full time role covering Monday to Friday based in Pt Chevalier.</p>
