Based in Christchurch, we are looking for a Management Accountant to join our finance team. You will be responsible for the accounting function for two of our business divisions and be involved in various other financial aspects of the Canterbury region. This role is a key part of the success of our business. You will have a strong accounting background, with a CA qualification or similar competency proven by experience.

You will be involved in a dynamic environment with a wide range of responsibilities. As a senior member of the team you will support your manager and help develop other team members. You will be working with a wide range of different people throughout the business to deliver an outstanding financial outcome.

You will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Strong accounting background
• Broad understanding of business and commercial practice
• Sharp analytical skills and ability to critique financial data
• Seasoned user of Excel in analysis of data
• Superb people and communication skills
• Ability to work with all levels of management and prepared to voice a view
• Ability to clearly and concisely prepare written and verbal presentations and proposals
• To be a self-starter and continually seek enhancement of administration and business practice
• Strong customer ethics, understanding of their business requirements
• Be able to meet strict deadlines
• Be of proven integrity and demonstrate an ability to work confidentially
